2001: Cracked three home runs in inaugural season...First career-blast came in 7-4 win over Samford March 25...Drove in season-best four RBIs in Lady Cajuns’ 14-1 win at Centenary April 25...Came up big with two-run homer in 3-0 win over New Mexico State April 29...Has three multi-hit games and six multi-RBIs contests...Saw most of time at designated player slot but also caught majority of former pitcher Micah Barbato’s games.
High School: Was a four-year letter winner at Roy Miller High School for
head coach John Mott…Four-time first-team All-State selection as a
Buccaneer…Three-time first-team All-District 28-5A selection…Named All-Bay
Area Sports MVP and All-Bay Area catcher…Once hit .621 with 5 home runs and
54 RBIs in a season, all of which are school records.

Barragan III and Belinda Valderaz…Majoring in criminal justice with plans
to become a police officer and pursue a master’s degree after
