What Girouard says: Megan deserves every good thing that hopefully
will come to her this season. She has truly worked herself into an athlete who should reap
the benefits of all that hard work.

second on team in home runs with six despite being seventh on team in at-bats...Saw
majority of playing time as designated player but also saw time behind the plate as
catcher...Best offensive day came April 16 at McNeese State when she went 3-for-7 in
doubleheader sweep of Cowgirls with two home runs and four RBIs ...Also enjoyed 2-for-2
day against Bowling Green State University when she was 2-for-2 with a home run and two
RBIs in H.I.T. Tournament in Houston...Hit first bomb in 12th Annual Louisiana Classics
with a solo shot in third game of season against Baylor on Feb. 21...Finished season
4-of-9 in last three games against Louisiana Tech and Centenary.

games in which she tallied three RBIs (McNeese State and Georgia Southern)...Put up a .269
slugging mark and a .283 on-base percentage...Enjoyed an errorless season for a perfect
1.000 fielding mark.

the Lady Warhorses in extra-base hits in 1996...Was an all-district selection at catcher
and designated hitter positions and an all-state performer as a catcher...Three-sport star

F.Y.I. ABOUT MEGAN FIELDS
Greatest moment in the history of sports: When Jackie Robinson took
the field for the first time. Best thing about college: The opportunity
to meet people from different backgrounds. Worst thing about college:
Being far away from my family. Never again will I: Go out onto the roof
of Earl K. Long Gym.One word I would use to describe myself:
Enthusiastic. Outside of family and friends, the most impressive person I
have ever met: Brenda Crim. Craziest ambition: I always wanted
to be an Olympic Gold Medalist...in gymnastics. Greatest personal achievment:
Answering The Call.
