Louisiana Softball Releases 2025 Fall Exhibition Schedule

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Softball team released its 2025 fall exhibition schedule which features six games from mid-October to early November, giving Ragin' Cajuns fans their first chance to see the team in action in advance of the second season of the Alyson Habetz era.

The Ragin' Cajuns are set to play five of the six exhibition contests at home at Yvette Girouard Field at Lamson Park, with the action beginning on October 11. Louisiana also makes the short trek to McNeese for the lone road contest in late-October.

Admission for each contest that's held at Lamson Park is $5 cash only at the gate the day of the game. Proceeds from all games will go directly to support Louisiana Softball. All seating is General Admission.

Concessions will be available for purchase for each home fall exhibition game.

Louisiana kicks off its fall ball slate on Saturday, October 11 at Lamson Park with a 2:00 p.m. matchup against Pearl River Community College.

The Ragin' Cajuns return to Lamson Park three days later to host Mississippi Gulf Coast on Tuesday, October 14 at 5:00 p.m.

The road trip to McNeese, set for Friday, October 24, marks the midway point of the fall schedule and a break in the two homestands. First pitch from Joe Miller Field at Cowgirl Diamond is set for 5:00 p.m.

The remainder of the fall schedule will be played at Lamson Park, beginning on Wednesday, October 29 with a 6:00 p.m. game against LSU-Eunice. The Ragin' Cajuns will next play Northwest Florida State College on Saturday, November 1 and conclude the fall schedule against McNeese at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday, November 6.

Led by returning Sun Belt Conference Freshman of the Year Emily Smith, the double play tandem of Cecilia Vasquez and Mia Liscano, standout pitchers Sage Hoover and Lexie Delbrey returning to the circle and the debut of Acadiana-area softball star Kennedy Marceaux of Kaplan, the Ragin' Cajuns seek a return to their championship and postseason ways in the 2026 season. The quest for a return to the postseason comes with homefield advantage as the Sun Belt Conference Championship is being held at Lamson Park from May 6-9, 2026.

The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball program's rich tradition includes six Women's College World Series appearances, eight NCAA Super Regional berths and 33 NCAA Regional appearances which ranks as eighth-most in NCAA history.

Louisiana (29-25, 14-10 SBC in 2025) has averaged over 1,000 fans in attendance yearly since 2012 and is a perennial Top 25 national attendance leader. The excitement surrounding the return home of program alumna and collegiate softball icon Alyson Habetz in 2025 was evident in the program boasting the No. 1 average attendance in the state of Louisiana.
