LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball incoming freshman catcher and middle infielder Miki Watts is joining a select group of 40 high school graduates nationwide for the 2025 Alliance Fastpitch All-Star Game on Sunday, July 20 at Kokomo High School Softball Stadium in Kokomo, Indiana.

Ragin' Cajuns fans have an opportunity to watch Watts participate in the game. The contest is set to air on ESPN+ beginning at 5:00 p.m. (CDT) on Sunday (July 20).

Watts (Loranger, La./Loranger HS), also set to participate with USA Softball's U-18 Women's National Team in the WBSC World Cup Finals later this fall, signed with Louisiana last November. She is part of the Ragin' Cajuns' Class of 2025 signees set to arrive on campus in August.

The All-Star athletes are divided into two teams — Alliance American and Alliance National. Watts has been placed on the National Team.

The Alliance All-Star class represents the top athletes in the Class of 2025. Athletes are selected by the National All-Star Committee, chaired by Derek Allister, founder of OnDeck Softball, with representatives from each of the nine Alliance Member Leagues.

All selected athletes are signed to begin their collegiate softball careers at NCAA Division I institutions this fall. All Power 4 conferences are represented and a total of 31 different NCAA colleges have at least one representative.

Louisiana is the lone Sun Belt Conference program represented and joins LSU as the only two state schools to have at least one representative.

Watts competed in the infield, primarily at catcher and shortstop, for Loranger (La.) High School from 2022-25. She's currently competing in travel ball with the Texas Bombers organization.

The Northshore Prep Report Player of the Year, parish and district MVP, all-state team and first team all-district performer in 2025, Watts batted .628, scored 49 runs, swiped 28 stolen bases at a 100 percent success rate and caught 145-1/3 innings in her final prep season.

This past spring, Watts helped lead Loranger to its first-ever first round playoff bye, furthest advancement in the playoffs (third round) and first 20-win season in school history.

The 2025 Alliance Fastpitch All-Star Game marks the fifth annual edition of the event. Last year, the contest ended in a dramatic 4-4 tie marking the first co-champions in event history.

Watts' selection marks the second time in the five-year history of the Alliance Fastpitch All-Star Game that Louisiana is represented. Previously, former Cajuns Mihyia Davis and Kylei Griffin appeared in 2022.
