Lisa Norris began her tenure as an assistant coach for the Louisiana Ragin’ Cajuns softball program in the 2014 season.
 
Before arriving in Lafayette, Norris spent three seasons as an assistant coach at three different schools: Georgia Tech (2013), North Carolina State (2012) and Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (2011). She helped lead TAMUCC to a Southland Conference regular season championship.
 
In her first season with the Cajuns, Norris assisted the pitching staff.  Highlighting the Cajuns in the circle in 2014 was Christina Hamilton, who recorded a 29-4 record to help lead the team to the Women’s College World Series and earned NFCA Second Team All-American and Sun Belt Pitcher of the Year honors
 
Since 2009, Norris has played for the Akron Racers of the National Pro Fastpitch league, being named NPF Pitcher of the Year in 2010 as well as All-NPF in 2009 and 2010. 
 
As a student-athlete, Norris spent four seasons at North Carolina. She earned NFCA All-Southeast Region honors and was named First Team All-ACC in 2008 and 2009.
 
A native of Snellville, Georgia, Norris graduated from UNC in 2010 with a degree in interpersonal communications and minor in coaching.
