Chris Malveaux, who spent four seasons as an assistant coach at Bradley from 2012-15, returned to the Ragin’ Cajuns softball coaching staff in July 2015 as associate head coach.
 
He previously served as an assistant coach on Michael Lotief’s staff from 2009-11. Malveaux was part of the Louisiana coaching staff, along with Michael and Stefni Lotief, which was selected as the NFCA South Region Coaching Staff of the Year in 2010.
 
In his four seasons at Bradley, the last as associate head coach, the Braves set numerous offensive records during his tenure highlighted by school season records for runs (261) home runs (41), RBI (237), total bases (635), slugging percentage (.410) and walks (171) in 2014.
 
Before Bradley, Malveaux was a volunteer assistant in 2009 and full-time assistant from 2010-11 with the Ragin’ Cajuns.
 
During his first stint at UL, Malveaux helped Louisiana to three consecutive Sun Belt regular season and tournament titles in addition to three NCAA Tournament appearances.
 
Before joining Lotief’s staff in 2009, Malveaux spent a seven-year stint at McNeese State that included serving as the Cowgirls’ head coach from 2005-08. He led the Cowgirls to four straight Southland Conference Tournament appearances during his tenure as head coach, winning the event in 2005.
 
He was an assistant coach for three seasons (2002-04) at McNeese before taking over head coaching duties.
 
A 2001 Texas A&M graduate, Malveaux was a student equipment manager for the Aggies softball team as an undergraduate and also coached the 18-and-under Texas Comets while in College Station, Texas.
 
Malveaux married former Bradley Softball standout Kate Singler, who is currently serving as director of operations for the Ragin’ Cajuns, in December 2014.
