Dominick Walker is in his first year as an assistant strength and conditioning coach for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns where he with the men's basketball and golf program.
Before his arrival at UL, Walker was the Assistant to Basketball Performance at Mississippi State University and was a Sports Performance Intern at St. John's University.
Walker spent two seasons as a graduate assistant strength and conditioning coach at Angelo State University, where he worked with men's and women's basketball along with women's golf. He spent the summer of 2013 as an intern at the University of Texas and worked in strength and conditioning at McMurry University, Virginia Commonwealth and Baylor.
A team captain and two-year letterwinner on the basketball team at McMurry, Walker programmed and implemented the team's strength and conditioning program and helped the War Hawks to 39 wins. He earned All-American Southwest Conference honorable-mention honors after finishing as the team's second-leading rebounder in 2011-12.
Walker earned an associate degree in General Studies from Lon Morris College in 2011, a bachelor's degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from McMurry in 2013 and a Master of Education in Coaching, Sport, Recreation and Fitness Administration from Angelo State in 2015.
He is a certified through NSCA as a strength and conditioning specialist, USA Weightlifting, Mike Boyle Strength and Conditioning as a functional strength coach level one and the Gray Institute in applied functional science. He also holds CPR/AED certification from the Red Cross.
