Louisiana Begins Spring Break Trip with Matchup at No. 21 Virginia

Cajuns visit Charlottesville for first time in program history before SBC series at James Madison
CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team begins play on its Spring Break trip to the state of Virginia on Wednesday, April 8 facing No. 21 Virginia in a 5:00 p.m. (CDT) midweek game at Palmer Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.
The Ragin' Cajuns (22-17) are coming off a home series win over Troy at Lamson Park over Easter Weekend, capped off by an exhilarating walk-off finish in extra innings after a lengthy weather delay. The Cavaliers (31-6) had a seven-game win streak snapped after being swept by Duke in ACC play.
Wednesday's contest marks Louisiana's first visit to Charlottesville in program history. It's the first UL-UVA meeting, overall, since a March 2011 matchup in Kissimmee, Florida.
The contest will be televised on ESPN+ with Corey Spector calling the action. Radio coverage is available on The GOAT 103.3 FM and 1420 AM in the Acadiana region and worldwide on Varsity Network with Cody Junot (pxp) and Bobby Neveaux (analyst) providing commentary.
The stop in Charlottesville precedes the Ragin' Cajuns next Sun Belt Conference series which is set for Friday-Sunday, April 10-12 against James Madison (16-20, 4-8 SBC) in Harrisonburg, Virginia.

The series opener is set for 4:00 p.m. (CDT) on Friday. Play continues Saturday at 12:00 p.m. (CDT) and concludes on Sunday with the series finale at 11:00 a.m. (CDT).
