Baseball Fan Day Scheduled For Saturday at Russo Park

Fans can get first glimpse of 2026 Cajuns at free event
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball team, along with head coach Matt Deggs and his coaching staff, is welcoming fans to M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park on Saturday (January 31) for its annual Fan Day.
Admission is free and open to the public. Normal gameday procedures will be in place, including the athletic department's Clear Bag Policy. Concessions will be available for purchase, with the Stadium Club open to members.
Gates open at 11 a.m., beginning with an autograph session with members of the Ragin' Cajuns squad throughout the lower-level concourse. Fans will also have a chance to pick up a free copy of the 2026 season poster and watch current Ragin' Cajuns compete in a Home Run Derby beginning at 12:30 p.m.
Below is the complete timeline of events:
11 a.m. – autograph session w/posters
12:30 p.m. – Home Run Derby with intrasquad scrimmage to follow
Louisiana will open its season on February 13 in a three-game series against Missouri State. The Ragin' Cajuns will play 34 games at home, highlighted by dates against the reigning national champion – LSU (March 4) – and national runner-up Coastal Carolina (May 14-16).
