Louisiana Finishes Road Swing with Pair of Stops in Mississippi

The 5-1 Ragin’ Cajuns are off to the best start of Kristi Gray’s tenure
LORMAN, Miss. – Louisiana Volleyball is set to take to the road for the second straight week, this time traveling to the state of Mississippi for a pair of non-conference matches beginning on Thursday, September 11 in Lorman, Miss., at Alcorn.

Following Thursday's contest, the Ragin' Cajuns (5-1) make their way to Oxford, Miss., to take on Ole Miss live on SEC Network Plus (SECN+).

Both matches begin at 6:00 p.m. The trip marks the final road non-conference games of the 2025 season.

Louisiana is meeting both Alcorn (0-5) and Ole Miss (3-2) for the first time since September 2013 – also the last time the Ragin' Cajuns appeared on the two teams' home court.

Opposite hitters Cailin Demps and Jazmine Gaston seek to build upon all-tournament performances at the SFA Tournament. Demps, who scored 49 kills off 100 swings on .340 hitting last weekend in Nacogdoches, headlines Louisiana's offense that ranks Top 25 nationally in kills (323) and Top 75 in hitting percentage (.257).

Defensively, the Ragin' Cajuns frontline turned in a season-high in blocks the last two matches spearheaded by freshman Lindsey Henry who threw up nine of the weekend-total 17 blocks at SFA in the last outing.
