MONROE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Volleyball team remained in the hunt for a first-round bye in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament with a 25-17, 25-23, 25-19 sweep of ULM on Friday, November 6 at B1Bank Fant Coliseum.
The Ragin' Cajuns (13-13, 8-5 SBC) matched South Alabama's result to remain tied for third in the West Division and its final first-round bye. Louisiana holds the head-to-head tiebreaker over the Jaguars.
UL earned its 17th consecutive victory over ULM (9-18, 3-10 SBC), sweeping the Warhawks for the third straight meeting dating to last season's series.

Sarah Schnell delivered a match-high 15 kills on .370 hitting, surpassing 300 kills for the season and joining Cailin Demps (2025) among recent Cajuns to reach the milestone.
Grace Sweeney totaled eight kills, while Lolo Lambert added seven. Rhyan Miciotto distributed 20 assists, and Ryleigh Garis posted 13 assists and 10 digs.
Kennedy Gustafson led Louisiana with 15 digs. Lambert, Lindsey Henry, Emily Williams and Gaston each recorded two blocks.
Grace Troxell paced ULM with 11 kills.
HOW IT HAPPENED
Schnell supplied six kills in the opening set as Louisiana built commanding a 19-8 lead. Sweeney served three of her five aces during the frame, and Jazmine Gaston's kill secured the early match advantage.
The Ragin' Cajuns erased an 18-11 deficit in the second set, completing the rally after ULM moved ahead 23-21. Lambert's kill and Miciotto's ace tied the score before consecutive Warhawks attack errors completed Louisiana's four-point closing run.
UL broke a 15-all tie in the third with three consecutive points, including a Kennedy Gustafson ace. Schnell added four kills down the stretch before Sweeney finished the sweep.
