17 athletes will represent the Ragin’ Cajuns in 14 events
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The Louisiana track and field team will have plenty of representation at the NCAA East Regional in Jacksonville, Florida, as 17 athletes were announced as part of the field on Thursday. The 17 athletes will compete in 14 events after a historic 2025 outdoor season that saw Louisiana set six school records and have 44 total entries into the record book.
Five women and 12 men will take the trip to Jacksonville for the Cajuns. Individual Sun Belt Conference champions: Kimola Hines (discus), Lawson Jacobs (400m), Joe Patterson (800m), and Jeremy Nelson (triple jump) are slated to compete. Louisiana also qualified in the men's 4x100m relay with Mark Daley, Jacobs, Caemon Scott, Chris Gravois, and Camren Hardy representing the Cajuns, as well as the men's 4x400m relay with Jacobs, Scott, Hardy, Jonathan Gamarra, and Hunter Ullrich qualifying after winning an SBC championship.
