Louisiana Heads to Mobile for Last Chance Meet

The Cajun look to send more athletes to the NCAA East Regional
MOBILE, Ala. - Looking to lock up more spots in the upcoming NCAA East Regional the Louisiana track and field team heads to Mobile for a Last Chance Meet. The top 48 individuals in each event qualify for the regional while in the relays the top 24 will punch their ticket to Jacksonville, Florida.Â
Slated to compete for the Ragin' Cajuns are Marin Barras and Ellie Manuel in the javelin, Reem Tammam in the long and triple jump, Caemon Scott in the 400m, Alexandra Johnson in the 800m, Quincy Simon and Chaniqua Tonge in the 200m, and the women's 4x100m relay.Â
The NCAA East Regional begin May 28 and run until May 31 before the season concludes with the national championships in Eugene, Oregon.
