Louisiana, Georgia Southern Baseball Suspended By Weather

Game to resume at 1 p.m. Saturday with scheduled game to start 45 minutes

LAFAYETTE – The opening game of Louisiana's three-game series against Georgia Southern on Friday at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park was suspended due to rain and lightning in the Lafayette area.
 
The game will resume at 1 p.m., in the top of the seventh inning, with the regularly-scheduled game to start 45 minutes after the conclusion. Between games, members of Louisiana's 2000 College World Series team will be recognized.
 
Louisiana led, 2-0, when the game was halted at the end of the sixth inning.
 
Fans will be able to use their Saturday ticket for both the resumption of Friday's suspended game along with the regularly-scheduled contest.
