>> UL plays its third SBC series, overall, and the second on the road in the eastern time zone (played at Marshall from March 14-15).

>> First of two straight road weekends for UL (also at Troy from April 4-6).

>> Coastal Carolina (No. 26) and Louisiana (No. 47) are two of the Sun Belt's top squads in the NCAA RPI rankings.

>> Both UL and Coastal are in search of consecutive SBC series wins, both rebounding from series losses on opening weekend.

>> Cajuns bested previous league unbeaten ULM for their first series win, taking 2-of-3 at Lamson Park from March 21-23.

>> UL's pitching staff excelled last weekend in limiting free passes, not issuing a walk until Sunday and yielding just five over 22 innings.

>> Freshman Emily Smith returned to play and had a dandy SBC debut, batting .750 (6-of-8) including her first collegiate multi-home run game.

>> UL stands 12-2 when leading after five and owns three comeback wins in the seventh or later (Ole Miss, Houston, ULM).

>> Louisiana entered the week ranked No. 1 nationally in double plays turned per game (0.83) and in the overall total number turned (25).
