Named to the All-Sun Belt Conference Third Team ... was Louisiana's leading scorer both overall (12.3) and in Sun Belt play (14.2) ... from mid-December through season's end was the team's leading scoring threat, raising her average over 5.0 points per game ... in SBC play, ranked Top 15 in points per game - one of only 13 players to average 14-plus points per game ... produced 10 of her 14 double-figure scoring efforts during conference play ... reached double figures in nine of her last 10 regular season appearances .... scored 20-plus four times in SBC play including closing the regular season with back-to-back, 20-plus point efforts against Top 4 finishers Texas State and Southern Miss ... produced first 300-plus point season of her career and averaged a career-high 12.3 points per game.

Played a huge role in the team’s success in her first year with the program, starting in 18 of the team’s 25 games…Averaged 11.4 points per contest, the second-most on the team…Came on strong in the Sun Belt Tournament en route to earning a spot on the All-Tournament Team…Scored in double figures 16 times, including three 20-point performances…One of those efforts was a 24-point outing in the Tournament Semifinals against eventual champions UT Arlington…She produced a career-high 26 points at home against Texas State and scored 20 points against Troy…Shot 44.8 percent (117-261) from the field, ), the second best amongst Ragin’ Cajuns with more than 200 attempts on the year, and 36.6 percent (15-for-41) from long range, the best on the squad.
Prior to Louisiana (Old Dominion)
Wheaton spent her first collegiate season at Old Dominion, appearing in 20 of the team's 24 games and averaging 3.3 points and 1.1 rebounds in 9.0 minutes played per contest...Additionally, she recorded eight steals and five assists...Had a breakout weekend against Marshall on Feb. 5-6, 2021, scoring a career-high 11 points in game one and grabbing a career-best 11 rebounds in game two...Her other double-figure scoring effort came on Feb. 13, 2021, when she recorded 10 points at Charlotte...Wheaton helped her team to the Conference USA Tournament Semifinals, where they fell to the Rice Owls, 62-60.
