Louisiana Draws ULM in SBC Tournament Opening Round

It’ll be the third meeting between the schools this season on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m.
PENSACOLA, Florida - The bracket is set for the Sun Belt Conference Championships and the Louisiana men's basketball team will face a familiar foe in ULM in the first round of the tournament.
The Cajuns finished in a four-way tie for eighth in the league with Old Dominion, Georgia State, and Georgia Southern but will be the No. 11 seed after tiebreakers. That puts the Cajuns against ULM on Tuesday, March 4 at 7:30 p.m.
The 2025 Hercules Tires Sun Belt Conference Men's and Women's Basketball Championships will take place March 4-10 at the Pensacola Bay Center in Pensacola, Fla., with all 14 Sun Belt institutions competing in the single-elimination tournament.
Four teams claimed a share of the regular season title with 13-5 records in league play, including South Alabama, James Madison, Troy, and Arkansas State.
Following changes to the tournament's format prior to the season, No. 1 seed South Alabama and No. 2 seed James Madison receive byes to the tournament semifinals on Sunday, March 9, while No. 3 seed Troy and No. 4 seed Arkansas State will maintain byes to the quarterfinal round on Saturday, March 8.
All games will be broadcast on ESPN+ with the championship game televised by ESPN or ESPN2 at 6 p.m. CT on Monday, March 10.
