Ragin’ Cajuns face off with Morehead State ahead of upcoming final exams break

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team is back on the court at the Cajundome on Sunday, December 7 to face Morehead State in a 4:00 p.m. contest that wraps up a week-long homestand. It's also the team's final home game prior to the Christmas holiday.

Louisiana (0-8) and Morehead State (3-5) meet for the first time in program history. Live coverage is available on ESPN+ and The GOAT 103.3 FM and 1420 AM.

Admission to Sunday's contest – and all UL Women's Basketball games throughout the entire season – is free and open to the public. The Cajundome's clear bag policy and cashless concessions will be implemented.

The UL Women's Basketball program is celebrating Christmas in the Dome on Sunday. Fans are encouraged to bring new unopened toys to be donated to Toys for Tots and to wear Christmas attire.

Morehead State is the fourth first-time foe in as many games inside the Cajundome that Louisiana faces this season. The Eagles join a list that includes Bowling Green, Delta State and East Texas A&M.

The Ragin' Cajuns look to break into the win column ahead of the team's break for final exams the week of December 8-12 and the start of Sun Belt Conference play on December 17 at Texas State.

Following Sunday's game, UL is off for nine days before the SBC opener in San Marcos, Texas.

Freshman Imani Daniel continues to emerge as a consistent third scoring option for the Ragin' Cajuns, her active string of four straight games scoring in double figures raising her season average to 11.0 points per game. Fellow freshman Amijah Price scored a team-leading 18 points in the Education Game vs. East Texas A&M on Tuesday and now joins Mikaylah Manley in averaging 12-plus points per game.

Morehead State is on the road for the first time following a recent four-game homestand. MSU averages 8.8 made triples per game, ranking Top 50 nationally. The Eagles own 70 made three-point baskets led by 18 apiece from Anja Ekstrom and Violet McNece.
