Jaxon Olvera (12.7) and Dorian Finister (12.5) average in double figures to lead Louisiana, with the duo averaging 4.7 and 4.6 rebounds each to lead the team. Olvera came off the bench against ULM to score a game-high 17 points, with De'Vion Lavergne posting career-highs in both points (16) and rebounds (8).
Norfolk State (6-9), which finished 24-11 in 2024-25 and captured the MEAC Tournament title, has picked up Division I wins this season over Hampton, Jackson State and UTEP. The Spartans split in their two games on Dec. 21-22 at the WestStar Don Haskins Sun Bowl Invitational, edging UTEP before falling to UC Irvine in the championship game.
