Ragin’ Cajuns Mark Return Home with Annual Education Game

Upwards to 4,000 Acadiana-area students are expected for Tuesday morning's game at the Cajundome
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball program holds its annual Education Game at 11:00 a.m. inside the Cajundome on Tuesday, December 2, taking on East Texas A&M. Nearly 4,000 Acadiana-area students are expected to be in attendance for the field trip outing.
The Ragin' Cajuns are welcoming students from Acadiana-area elementary, middle school, and high school classes for the once-a-season field trip event. Admission is free and the contest is also open to the general public.
Ragin' Cajuns Sports Properties will be on hand provide classrooms with new and gently used reading books that were collected in partnership with Champions for Literacy and its Fight for Literacy campaign.
Tuesday morning's outing marks the 12th edition of the Education Game, a tradition started in December 2014. The Ragin' Cajuns own a 6-5 overall record in the contest.
The Ragin' Cajuns (0-7) are returning to their home court for the first time in nearly a month, the squad having been on the road the past five games dating back to November 10.
Louisiana and East Texas A&M (2-3) meet for the first time in program history. The Lions are the third first-time foe to enter the Cajundome, joining Bowling Green and Delta State which visited in November.
Mikaylah Manley (12.6), Amijah Price (11.1) and Imani Daniel (10.9) are the active players leading UL in scoring, each one having averaged double digits in November. Daniel scored double digits in all three games last week culminating with a 17-point, 10-rebound double-double in the Big Easy Classic finale vs. Fresno State.

- Louisiana returns home to the Cajundome following a five-game road stretch.
- It'll have been 26 days since Louisiana last played a home game (Nov. 7 vs. Delta State).
- Louisiana holds its 12th annual Education Game with 4-000 plus Acadiana-area students expected in attendance.
- Louisiana is 6-5 in the Education Game, having won four of the last five editions.
- UL spends the entire week at the Cajundome, returning on Sunday to host Morehead State.

- The 2025-26 season marks the arrival of a highly touted freshman class, all products from the state of Louisiana. Imani Daniel (John Curtis), Amijah Price (Woodlawn) and Arionna Patterson (Walker) were ranked Top 10 prospects in the State of Louisiana.
- Transfers Mikaylah Manley (from Southern Miss) and Jazmyne Jackson (from Georgia Southern) provide familiarity, both having previously competed in the Sun Belt Conference.
- Garry Brodhead also has a change of the guard within his coaching staff. All-American collegiate standout and WNBA legend Temeka Johnson has taken over the associate head coach duties while Kacie Cryer, chief of staff for the past three seasons, was elevated to assistant coach and recruiting coordinator.
- Louisiana scored double digits all four quarters in both exhibition games including 20-plus points all four quarters vs. LSU-Alexandria.
- Freshman Imani Daniel led the way averaging 20.5 point per game in exhibition action highlighted by a 19-point, 15-rebound double-double vs. LSU-A.
- Garry Brodhead is the program's all-time winningest head coach and the only head coach to reach both 100 and 200 victories. His career record entering Tuesday's game stands at 215-188.
