Lunch Winfield tossed a pair of touchdowns to Shelton Sampson Jr., and joined Zylan Perry with rushing scores as the Ragin' Cajuns built a 31-7 lead in the third quarter.
Jaden Dugger posted 11 tackles with a late interception as the Ragin' Cajuns defense made a key goal-line stand late in the game to claim their third straight win in Mobile.
Texas State (3-5, 0-4 SBC), which was picked second behind Louisiana in the West Division in the SBC Preseason Poll, looks to bounce back from four consecutive losses, including back-to-back overtime setbacks, and a one-point loss at Arkansas State on October 4.
The meeting is the final gridiron contest for both schools as SBC members with Texas State scheduled to join the new-look Pac-12 Conference on July 1, 2026.
