Ragin’ Cajuns Sweep SBC Cross Country Runner of the Week Awards

Louisiana swept the awards after a strong performance at the Cowboy Stampede
LAFAYETTE - Coming off a big weekend at the Cowboy Stampede, Ella Segura was named the Sun Belt Conference Women's Runner of the Week and Henry Lyon earned SBC Men's Runner of the Week.
Segura won the Cowboy Stampede with a time of 17:14.20 in the 5K race. She bested teammate Isabelle Russell's second-place time of 17:23.10 while leading Louisiana to a team title in the event.
Lyon was the top collegiate finisher in Lake Charles with a time of 19:25.98 in the 4-mile race. The senior was the fastest collegiate runner by nearly six seconds as the Cajuns placed third as a team.
The Ragin' Cajuns have just one meet remaining before the Sun Belt Conference Championships when they head to College Station, Texas, for the Arturo Barrios Invitational on October 17.
