Ragin’ Cajuns to play 10 of 11 outings, plus pair of exhibitions, within the state’s borders

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball program has announced its non-conference schedule for the 2024-25 schedule, and for the second straight season will play all but one of the games within the state's borders prior to New Year's Day.

The schedule features seven home games at the Cajundome, plus two exhibitions; a Thanksgiving Weekend tournament in the New Orleans area, a mid-December Sunday visit to LSU and an SEC foe visiting for the annual Education Game in December.

After opening head coach Garry Brodhead's 13th year at Louisiana on the road at Northern Illinois on November 4 in the MAC-SBC Challenge in DeKalb, Illinois, the remaining non-conference games are all within the State of Louisiana borders.

The November 8 home opener vs. Loyola (La.) kicks off a four-game homestand that takes UL to the Thanksgiving holiday. Along the way the Cajuns also face Mobile (Nov. 19), Nicholls (Nov. 22) and New Orleans (Nov. 26).

November closes with the highlight of the non-conference slate: the Big Easy Classic at the Alario Center in Westwego featuring games against Cleveland State and 2023-24 WNIT runner-up Minnesota.

In December the Ragin' Cajuns play their marquee non-conference home games – a Saturday matinee with Rice on December 7 and the Education Game contest with Auburn on December 18 – and have a Sunday day trip to Baton Rouge (Dec. 15) for a bout with LSU.

In February, Louisiana officially closes non-conference play by completing the MAC-SBC Challenge at the Cajundome on Saturday, February 8. The matchup, based on real-time NET rankings, will be announced in January.

The first on-court action of the season is an exhibition game on October 30 against Centenary College while a second exhibition on December 27 (vs. Dillard) precedes the start of Sun Belt Conference play.

Admission to all UL Women's Basketball games throughout the entire season is free and open to the public.

Game times and TV/streaming for the 2024-25 season schedule will be continuously updated on the women's basketball schedule page at RaginCajuns.com.
