Louisiana Football Game 2 Preview: The Kennesaw State Game

Ragin' Cajuns look to improve to 2-0 for second time in three years; fifth time since 2000
LAFAYETTE – After opening the 2024 football season with a 40-10 victory over in-state opponent Grambling, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns will head out on the road for the first time this year as it travels to face Conference USA newcomer Kennesaw State on Saturday at Fifth Third Stadium.
Kickoff is scheduled for 6 p.m. CT. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with fans able to listen to the game on the Ragin' Cajuns Radio Network and worldwide on the Varsity Network app.
Louisiana (1-0) scored the game's first 37 points and was never threatened in its win over Grambling and earning its third straight season-opening victory in the process. Ben Wooldridge tied a career-high with 25 pass completions and recorded his third career 300-yard passing game after finishing with 308 yards and three touchdowns.
Harvey Broussard, Tavion Smith and Terrance Carter each caught TD passes for the Ragin' Cajuns while Dre'lyn Washington scored on a 6-yard TD run on Louisiana's opening possession. Tyrone Lewis and K.C. Ossai had seven tackles each for the Ragin' Cajuns with Caleb Kibodi returning a second-quarter interception 50-yards for his first career TD.
KSU (0-1), a first-year member in CUSA and playing its first-ever contest at home as a FBS member, fell at UTSA, 28-16, last Saturday. The Owls trailed 21-3 early in the second quarter and chipped away at the lead, getting to within 21-16 on Davis Bryson's 25-yard scoring pass to Carson Kent.
The Owls were held to 51 yards on the ground on 39 carries while Bryson completed 14 of 28 passes for 202 yards.

• Louisiana hits the road for the first time during the 2024 season when it heads east to face Conference USA newcomer Kennesaw State on Saturday at Fifth Third Stadium.
• The Ragin' Cajuns opened their season last week with a convincing 40-10 victory over in-state opponent Grambling.
• Ben Wooldridge completed 25 of 33 passes for 308 yards and three touchdowns as Louisiana built a 30-0 lead at halftime. The senior tossed TDs to Harvey Broussard, Tavion Smith and Terrance Carter in recording his third 300-yard passing game in his career.
