Provides Cajuns with another experienced arm and boosts the bullpen depth

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball head coach Alyson Habetz announced on Tuesday (August 6) the addition of junior college transfer pitcher Bethaney Noble (Amarillo, Texas) to the program's roster for the 2025 season.

Noble will arrive in Louisiana with two seasons of collegiate experience attained at Seminole State (Okla.) College, having worked 200-plus innings and amassing 200-plus strikeouts. The 6-foot-1 pitching product has two seasons of eligibility remaining.

"Bethaney (Noble) adds much needed depth for us in the circle and she will complement our other arms on the pitching staff," Habetz explained. "She gained postseason experience pitching at the NJCAA World Series during her freshman year.

"Her size, talent, and the compelling desire to compete at the highest level will accelerate her growth," Habetz continued. "I know she will learn a lot from Coach Sunseri and I'm excited to see how good she can be. We are so glad she chose us and can't wait for her to get on campus and experience the Ragin' Cajuns culture."

Noble had 13 complete games, including six shutouts, in building a 19-5 record with three saves and a 2.58 ERA last spring. In 143-2/3 innings, she only walked 32 and struck out 163.

The sophomore season success earned her first team all-conference honors. Noble helped lead Seminole State to the NJCAA Region 2 Tournament, finishing as the Trojans' leader in innings pitched, wins and strikeouts.

In her collegiate debut season in spring 2023, Noble appeared in 20 games pitching five complete games, tossing three shutouts and recording 86 strikeouts in 69-1/3 innings pitched. The Trojans posted a 45-8 mark and advanced to the NJCAA DI Softball World Series.

Noble finished the two-year stint with Seminole State limiting foes to 157 hits over 213 innings pitched, issuing only 55 walks. Her career WHIP stands at 1.00.

A native of Amarillo, Texas, Noble spent her prep days at Amarillo High School where she was a four-time all-district pitcher. She helped lead the AHS program to its first-ever district championship in 2021 and was the recipient of top accolades including team MVP.

Noble played travel ball for the following organizations: American Freedom Shaw (2018), Diamond Sports Hotshots Shaw (2018-2019), Diamond Sports Hotshots Yeatts (2019), Oklahoma Athletics Yeatts (2020-2021), Oklahoma Angels Yeatts (2021-2022) and Louisiana Bombers (2022).

The 2025 season marks the first under Habetz's guidance. A celebrated Ragin' Cajuns student-athlete and renowned softball coach, she was named the fifth head coach in Louisiana Softball's storied history on June 25, 2024.

A native of nearby Crowley, Louisiana, Habetz ascends to the head coach ranks in her hometown area of the Acadiana region. A basketball and softball player for the Ragin' Cajuns from 1990-95, she returns to where her impactful contributions to women's athletics began.
