Louisiana to Search for New Men’s Tennis Head Coach

The Ragin’ Cajuns posted their 13th straight winning season in 2024

LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Vice President for Intercollegiate Athletics Dr. Bryan Maggard announced on Tuesday the start of a search for the 11th head men's tennis coach in program history after Luc Godin submitted his resignation to accept a different coaching position.

Assistant coach Thomas Sevel will serve as interim head coach of the men's tennis program as the search for the next head coach is conducted.

The 2024 season saw Louisiana play one of the most difficult schedules in the country. The Ragin' Cajuns faced six teams that reached the NCAA Tournament, knocking off a pair of ranked opponents in Charlotte and South Alabama en route to a 12-win season.

Louisiana's 12-11 dual record marked its 13th straight season with a .500 record or better. The Ragin' Cajuns win over South Alabama in the Sun Belt Conference Championships sent the team to the semifinals for the first time since 2015.
