ITA Names Eight Cajuns Scholar-Athletes

The team was named an All-Academic Team with a 3.7 GPA

LAFAYETTE - The Louisiana men's tennis team had eight members named ITA Scholar-Athletes the organization announced on Monday. The team was also named an All-Academic Team with a combined 3.7 GPA. 
The eight Cajuns honored were Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez, Vasil Dimitrov, Oriol Fillat Gimenez, Alejo Ferrer Chueca, Leonard Tramolay, Samuel Kyjaci, Calin Postea, and Thomas Garbarino. Student-athletes with a GPA of 3.5 or higher and teams with a combined 3.2 GPA or better during the 2023-24 year are eligible for recognition. 
In total, over 6,800 student-athletes and over 1,000 teams across all levels of college tennis were recognized by the ITA.
