Sanchez Gonzalez and Dimitrov Earn All-LSWA Honors

The duo combined for 39 wins on the year
LAFAYETTE, Louisiana - Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez and Vasil Dimitrov earned All-Louisiana Sports Writers Association honors on Saturday the association announced. Sanchez Gonzalez earned First Team honors while Dimitrov was an honorable mention.
Sanchez Gonzalez led the Ragin' Cajuns with 20 wins, 12 singles and eight doubles. The senior finished Sun Belt Conference play with a 4-1 record, all on court one to earn First Team All-SBC honors. He won five of his last six matches and seven of the last nine this spring. Sanchez Gonzalez was also named to the College Sports Communicators Academic All-District Team for his accolades in the classroom.
This spring, Dimitrov won 19 matches, 11 singles and eight doubles, for Louisiana. The junior was unstoppable beginning February 10, winning seven straight matches, a streak that ran until March 23. Dimitrov would also go on to earn CSC Academic All-District honors.
