Berrat Earns Seventh Straight Win at SBC Championships

The sophomore ended the season with a team-leading nine wins in singles
ROME, Georgia - Angelique Berrat earned her seventh win in a row to close the season for the Louisiana women's tennis team. Despite the sophomore's efforts, their run in the Sun Belt Conference Championships ended against Georgia Southern, 4-1, at the Rome Tennis Center in Rome, Georgia.
The Eagles took the first match in doubles on court three before the Cajuns settled in. The sides went back-and-forth but Georgia Southern won a tight match on two to take the point.
Berrat got the Cajuns on the board with her victory on court three, 6-2, 6-4. The sophomore finished the season at 9-4 in singles. Karolina Skowronska won her first set in a tiebreaker and was deep in a second when her match was called at 7-6 (7-5), 4-5. Nina Krecklenberg looked to force a third set and was about to start a tiebreaker in the second when her match was called, 1-6, 6-6.
