Sanchez Gonzalez Named First Team All-SBC in Singles

Sanchez Gonzalez earned All-SBC honors for the second straight year
NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana - Alejandro Sanchez Gonzalez was named to the First Team All-Sun Belt Conference in singles the league announced on Tuesday. Last season he earned First Team All-SBC honors in doubles.
Sanchez Gonzalez won a team-leading 11 matches and went 4-1 in conference play this spring. Seven of his wins came on court one while he also turned in a 4-0 record on court two.
The senior won his last four matches to close the regular season and six of his final seven matches. During the season he defeated nationally ranked Alvin Tudorica of South Florida which helped spark his strong finish to the season.
Louisiana is set to open the Sun Belt Conference Championships on Friday against South Alabama at 10 a.m.
