PARKING GUIDELINES
Daily parking guidelines have been established to assist fans attending the 38th Annual Louisiana Classics softball tournament at Yvette Girouard Field Lamson Park the weekend of February 8-11, providing the best ease of access to Lamson Park amid Mardi Gras festivities

Fans should be advised that beginning on Friday, February 9, a fee assessed by the Mardi Gras Festival applies to park at Cajun Field. 

Thursday, February 8
 - normal game day parking at Lamson Park (reserved/Lot A) and Cajun Field (general admission) 

Friday, February 9
- reserved parking (Lot A) will be accessible at Lamson Park
- park and SHUTTLE from Health Sciences Campus beginning at 9:30 a.m. (611 St. Landry St.)
- park and WALK from Print Shop and Intramural Fields (500 Coliseum Rd.) 

Saturday, February 10
- park and SHUTTLE from Health Sciences Campus beginning at 9:30 a.m. (611 St. Landry St.)
- park and WALK from Print Shop and Intramural Fields (500 Coliseum Rd.) 

Sunday, February 11
- reserved parking (Lot A) will be accessible at Lamson Park

>> Preseason nationally ranked Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball, the four-time defending Sun Belt regular season and tournament champions, begins Year No. 7 of the Gerry Glasco era hosting the 38th Annual Louisiana Classics tournament from February 8-11 at Lamson Park.

>> Joining the Ragin' Cajuns for the tournament is Pac-12 member California, Chattanooga and New Mexico.

>> Including the Louisiana Classics, the Ragin' Cajuns are scheduled to play nine (9) of their first 11 games at Lamson Park.

>> The two games with California mark the first of 15 games that Louisiana plays against Power 5 foes in the 2024 season.

>> For the first time since 2016, the Ragin' Cajuns open the season coming off an NCAA Super Regional appearance.

>> UL begins the season on a Thursday for the first time since 2018 and 2019 – the first two seasons of the Gerry Glasco era.

>> Louisiana is a perfect 6-0 on Opening Day in the Gerry Glasco era.

>> Louisiana welcomes two new coaches to the dugout: defensive coach Hunter Veach and hitting coach Shellie Landry, an All-American alumnae who competed for the program from 2013-16.

>> Louisiana earned a preseason ranking in all four of the major national polls: No. 21 by USA Today/NFCA, ESPN/USA Softball and D1Softball plus No. 23 by Softball America.

>> Louisiana was the unanimous choice as the favorite to win the 2024 Sun Belt Conference softball title in a vote of the league's 12 head coaches.

>> Mihyia Davis, the 2023 SBC Freshman of the Year and NFCA All-American who hit .380 and collected a nation-leading 52 stolen bases last spring, was chosen as the SBC Preseason Player of the Year.

>> Sophie Piskos (C), Lauren Allred (1B), Alexa Langeliers (2B), Brooke Ellestad (SS) and Sam Landry (P) joined Mihyia Davis (OF) as Cajuns voted onto the Preseason All-SBC Team.

>> Louisiana now has a veteran-laden roster with Gerry Glasco's No. 1 recruiting Class of 2022 now entering their junior campaign, plus the key offseason transfer additions of five upperclassmen.

39: Number of career wins for Sam Landry entering her junior season (39-9, 2.14 ERA).
