Louisiana Heads to Starkville for Friday Match

The Cajuns look to get above .500 in non-conference play
STARKVILLE, Mississippi - Coming off a big win on Tuesday, the Louisiana women's tennis team takes on Mississippi State on Friday in Starkville, Mississippi. The Cajuns look for the third victory of the young season.
The Cajuns went 5-1 in singles against Stephen F. Austin on Tuesday to hand the Ladyjacks their first loss of the season. Cristina Tchanichev has had a strong spring for Louisiana, going 3-0 on court two. The Cajuns have had great play on court four with Kamea Medora and Jenaila Prulla combining to go 3-0. Court five has been a strong point for the Cajuns as well with a 3-1 record boosted by Karolina Skowronska's pair of wins.
Mississippi State comes in at 6-1 after falling for the first time in 2024 to Memphis on Sunday. The Bulldogs are led by Alexandra Mikhailuk's 7-0 record, including 6-0 on court three. Maria Rizzolo has also had a strong start to 2024 with a 4-2 record primarily on court one.
The Cajuns are scheduled to be off until March 9 with the start of Sun Belt Conference play when they host ULM.
