Ragin’ Cajuns host exhibition contest at the Cajundome with tip-off set for 4:00 p.m.

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Women's Basketball team returns from its holiday break for its final contest before the start of conference play, hosting Dillard on Friday, December 27 in a 4:00 p.m. exhibition game at the Cajundome.
 
The Ragin' Cajuns (4-5) are closing an eight-day break from play when they step onto the court against the Bleu Devils (7-4). UL was last in action in the December 18th Education Game that saw a record 5,877 attend the game at the Cajundome.
 
The exhibition contest provides the Ragin' Cajuns an additional opportunity to prepare for the start of Sun Belt Conference play which begins on Sunday, December 29 on the road in Statesboro, Georgia against Georgia Southern.
 
Admission to the UL-Dillard matchup – and for all UL Women's Basketball games throughout the entire season – is free and open to the public.

  • In the recent back-to-back stretch against SEC foes (LSU, Auburn), the Ragin' Cajuns defense forced 20-plus turnovers both times.
  • At home, Louisiana is forcing 23.6 turnovers per game and has yielded just 54.6 points per game.
  • Louisiana got off a 4-0 start at the Cajundome prior to the Auburn contest, including wins over in-state foes Nicholls and New Orleans and defending American Athletic tournament champion Rice.
 
UP NEXT FOR LOUISIANA
The Ragin' Cajuns travel to Statesboro, Georgia for the start of Sun Belt Conference play on Sunday, December 29 against Georgia Southern in the Jack and Ruth Ann Hill Convocation Center.
 
Tip-off time is set for 12:00 p.m. (CST). It's the first-ever SBC game played in the Eagles' newly constructed home facility.
