The Cajun women finished 19th while the men took home 21st

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Ella Segura and Peyton Chiasson led the way for the Louisiana cross country team at the NCAA South Central Regional in Bryan-College Station, Texas on Friday. 

Segura placed 58th at 21:04.1 and was the fourth-highest finisher from a Sun Belt Conference school. Behind her was Isabelle Russell in 73rd at 21:19.1. Skylar Delgado ran a 22:04.4 to place 113th, just ahead of Juliana Courville's time of 22:08.5 in 121st. Wrapping up the scorers was Brooke Spalitta in 142nd at 22:32.9.

Chiasson led the men at 31:44.8 in 77th place, fifth-best from the SBC. At 32:20.5 was Reece Shelby in 103rd. Following him was Louden Boudreaux in 108th at 32:30.7, Matthew Maynard in 132nd at 33:07.5, and Joe Patterson in 133rd at 33:09.8.

Paityn Noe of Arkansas won the women's 6k with a time of 18:55.8 while the men's 10k was claimed by Kirami Yego of Arkansas at 29:09.4. The Razorbacks won both the men's and women's events, besting Texas on the women's side by one point.  The Ragin' Cajun women finished 19th while the men placed 21st.
