Cajuns Travel To Face Sam Houston In Fall Baseball Exhibition

First of two fall exhibitions for Louisiana; teams to play pair of 7-inning contests
HUNTSVILLE, Texas – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Baseball team competes in the first of two Fall exhibition games beginning on Saturday when it faces Sam Houston in a pair of 7-inning contests at Don Sanders Stadium.

Louisiana, which finished 42-20 last season and claimed the Sun Belt Conference regular-season title, returns 18 players from the 2023 squad highlighted by seniors Andrew Herrmann, Conor Higgs, Matt Holzhammer, Dylan Theut and Jose Torres.

Juniors Lee Amedee, Blake McGehee, Caleb Stelly and Luke Yuhasz return for the Ragin' Cajuns with Chase Morgan leading a group of second-year players.

Three Division I transfers – Sam Ardoin (Texas), Matt Gaither (UNC Wilmington) and Drew Markle (Ole Miss) – are part of 21 newcomers on the roster for Louisiana.

Louisiana will close out its fall schedule on Sunday (November 10) against LSU at M.L. "Tigue" Moore Field at Russo Park.
Tickets for the LSU exhibition game are $10 and can be purchased on-line at RaginCajuns.com/tickets. Proceeds from the game will go directly to support the Baseball Diamond Club. All tickets are General Admission.

The Ragin' Cajuns will officially open the 2025 season at home on Feb. 14-16 in a three-game series against San Jose State. Louisiana will play 34 games at home during the 2025 season including 13 against teams which advanced to the 2024 NCAA Regionals.
