Alford, Keating Post Low Scores For Louisiana at Argent Financial Classic

Ragin' Cajuns nine strokes behind leader; will tee off beginning at 9 a.m.
CHOUDRANT – Burke Alford posted his second consecutive below-par round while Dylan Keating carded his first collegiate round in the 60's to lead the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team during the second round of the Argent Financial Classic on Monday at Squire Creek Country Club.
The final round of the 54-hole event will begin at 7:30 a.m. Louisiana, which will be paired with UT Arlington and UAB in the final round, will tee off beginning at 9 a.m.
Louisiana posted a team score of 3-under-285 to finish at 572 after 36 holes and nine strokes behind first-day leader Central Arkansas. UCA carded a team score of 284 in the second round to finish at 563 heading into the final round and three strokes ahead of Southern Miss (568).
Host Louisiana Tech (569), UTA (571) and Louisiana rounded out the top five in the 16-team field with UAB (573), Rice (573), Houston (573), Middle Tennessee (576) and Abilene Christian (580) rounding out the top 10.
Alford, who posted a 1-under-71 in Sunday's opening round, posted a 2-under 70 in the second round to finish in a 10th-place tie at 3-under-141.
Keating, who was 1-over at the turn after starting at No. 10, carded a 4-under-32 on the last nine and finished with a career-low round of 3-under-69. Eli Ortego completed his round at 2-over-74 for Louisiana with Malan Potgieter firing a round of even-par 72 with Jake Marler posting an 80.
Freshman Matthew Lotz, who was competing as an individual for Louisiana, recorded a 3-over 75 in his second collegiate round.
