Potgieter Named Second-Team All-Sun Belt

NEW ORLEANS – Freshman Malan Potgieter earned his first postseason accolades for the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Team when he was named a second-team selection the All-Sun Belt Conference team, announced on Tuesday by the league office.
Potgieter helped carry Louisiana to its first Sun Belt Conference title since 2007 as he led the team in scoring average (72.47), first round average (71.42), par 4 scoring (4.11), eagles (7) and birdies (115).
The freshman had four top-10 finishes and five top-20 performances in 12 events in his inaugural season with the Ragin' Cajuns
Potgieter posted a low round of 67 at the Ka'anapali Collegiate Classic during the fall and recorded 18 rounds of par or lower with three rounds in the 60's during the 2022-23 season. Potgieter had his score counted in 34 of 36 rounds on the season
