Louisiana Set To Tee Off at NCAA Norman Regional

SBC champion Cajuns paired with Kansas, UNCW in opening round
NORMAN, Okla. – The Sun Belt Conference champion Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Golf team opens play on Monday as the NCAA Norman Regional officially tees off at Jimmie Austin OU Golf Club.
The three-day, 54-hole event tees off beginning at 10 a.m., with live results for each round available at GolfStat.com and RaginCajuns.com. Louisiana, the No. 12 seed in the field and making its first team appearance in the NCAA Regionals since 2012, will start from the No. 10 tee beginning at 11:25 a.m., and will be paired with Kansas and UNC Wilmington in the opening round.
The low five teams and the low individual not on a qualifying team will attend the NCAA Championship, scheduled for May 26-31 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
Head coach Theo Sliman will send the same lineup used in Louisiana's performance at the Sun Belt Conference Championships, capped off by thrilling match play victories over South Alabama and Georgia Southern.
Matt Weber, averaging 75.47 per round and manning the No. 5 spot in the lineup, will start off for Louisiana when he tees off at 11:25 a.m. Jake Marler (75.70) follows for Louisiana when he tees off at 11:36 a.m., with Charlie Flynn (74.33) starting at 11:47 a.m., Eli Ortego (73.03) at 11:58 a.m. and All-Sun Belt performer Malan Potgieter (72.47) at 12:09 p.m.
