Ferrer Chueca Cruises to Win in Final Home Match

Ferrer Chueca only dropped two games in his straight-set win
LAFAYETTE - Alejandro Ferrer Chueca made quick work in singles on Sunday at Cajun Courts for the Louisiana men's tennis team. The junior only dropped two games in his straight-set win against Old Dominion in Lafayette.
ÂComing into the weekend the Monarchs were undefeated in doubles play, making it a tall task for the Cajuns to defend home court. The duo of Calin Postea and William Ribero held the lead on court three 5-4, but the Monarchs pulled out wins on courts one and two for the point. Vasil Dimitrov and Karlo Kajin held their own on court one but fell 6-4.
ÂFerrer Chueca tied the match at one with his win on court two to start singles. The Cajuns fell in matches on courts two and five before Kajin forced a first set tiebreaker on court one. The senior, celebrating senior day, couldn't hang on and dropped the match, 7-6 (7-4), 6-2. Kacper Dworak, also celebrating senior day, forced a second set tiebreaker but couldn't pull it out. Calin Postea went to a third set super tiebreaker on court four but fell, 6-3, 4-6, 1-0 (10-4).
