Ragin' Cajuns return home next weekend to close out regular season
LAFAYETTE – Louisiana Women's Tennis dropped its second match in the Carolinas on Sunday morning, falling to Coastal Carolina by a final score of 4-1.
CCU claimed the doubles points with a pair of 6-0 wins on Courts 1 and 2 to go ahead 2-0 in the match.
The Chanticleers extended the lead to 3-0 after victories on Courts 1 and 5 in singles play.
Lucie Raquin picked up a point for her team, a 6-3, 6-3, win over Megan Hopton on Court 3, but it was not enough as Jess Hollins defeated AK Harvey in three sets to take the match.
Carla Urchoeguia was nearly able to steal a point as well, but her match went unfinished with the score 6-3, 6-6.
Louisiana will close out the regular season at home when it closes out the regular season with matches against Texas State (April 9) and UT Arlington (April 10).
