Louisiana, South Alabama Softball to Complete Series with Friday Doubleheader

Saturday’s weather forecast for the Mobile area prompted the revision to series schedule
MOBILE, Ala. – Due to anticipated weather in the Mobile area on Saturday, the Sun Belt Conference series between the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Softball team and South Alabama will now be completed on Friday, April 15 with a doubleheader at Jaguar Field.
Game one of Friday's twinbill will be played at 4:00 p.m. (CDT), with the series finale set to immediately follow.
Both games are being broadcast with live video coverage on ESPN+ and radio coverage on ESPN Lafayette 103.3 FM and 1420 AM.
The Ragin' Cajuns are going for the series win in the matchup of the Sun Belt's two leaders, when play for the day begins. Louisiana entered the series with a nation-leading total of 69 consecutive conference series won, a streak that dates back to March 2013.
Louisiana took the early lead in the SBC showdown on Thursday, April 14 by outscoring South Alabama 10-7 in a high-scoring affair. Alexa Langeliers, Stormy Kotzelnick and Kramer Eschete each produced multiple RBI and combined for seven total to offset the four home runs the Jaguars were able to gather off of the Ragin' Cajuns pitching staff.
