WEST POINT, Miss. Peter Hinnant recorded a bogey-free, 4-under-par 68 to earn a fourth-place overall finish and the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns finished in a tie for 10th at Mississippi State's Mossy Oak Collegiate on Tuesday at Mossy Oak Golf Club.

Louisiana, making its final tuneup event before the Sun Belt Conference Championships in two weeks, posted a team score of even-par 288 in the final 18 holes to finish tied with Louisiana Tech in the 19-team field.

The senior finished in a three-way tie for fourth which included Auburn's J.W. Butler, ranked No. 43 nationally, and recorded 10 birdies in the tournament to become the second Ragin' Cajuns golfer to surpass the 400-mark in a career.

The senior notched his eighth round in the 60's this season after posting a 2-under-34 on the back nine before recording an identical 2-under 34 on the front.

Charlie Flynn (71-73-73-217) finished tied for 31st for Louisiana with Jake Marler (79-73-75-227) finishing tied for 78th. Eli Ortego was one stroke back (76-72-80-228) while Matt Weber finished in a tie for 84th (78-79-72-229).

No. 3-ranked Vanderbilt claimed the team title at 839 followed by No. 16 Auburn at 851. No. 24 LSU (854), host Mississippi State (854) and No. 67 Kansas State (861) rounded out the top five in a field which featured five programs in the GolfStat Top 50 – Vanderbilt, Auburn, Florida State (17), Ole Miss (19), LSU and UAB (47) – and 14 in the GolfStat Top 100.

Vandy's Gordon Sargent, ranked No. 18 nationally, claimed medalist honors after finishing at 12-unde 204 for the tournament. Hunter Logan of Mississippi State was three shots back at 207 with Vanderbilt's Reid Davenport in third at 208.
