Ragin' Cajuns, New Orleans meet for 76th time on the hardwood
LAFAYETTE – Coming off a win in its last game, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team travels to the Crescent City Saturday afternoon when it battles former Sun Belt Conference rival New Orleans at Lakefront Arena.

Tipoff is scheduled for 4 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ and can be heard in the Lafayette area on KPEL-FM (96.5) and worldwide on the Varsity Network.

Louisiana (6-1) returns to action after earning a 104-70 victory over defending NAIA National Champion Loyola of New Orleans on Tuesday behind a season-high 27 points from Jordan Brown. Terence Lewis II and Joe Charles each scored 12 points for the Ragin' Cajuns with Themus Fulks adding 11 and Michael Thomas 10.

The Ragin' Cajuns shot a season-high 61 percent (42-for-69) from the floor and 57 percent (12-for-21) from behind the 3-point line against the Wolf Pack while holding a 49-19 advantage on the glass.

New Orleans (2-4) has picked up wins over St. Francis (Ill.) and IUPUI while dropping contests to Butler, LSU, the Citadel and a one-point loss to former SBC foe Denver. Jordan Johnson (14.6), Khaleb Wilson-Rouse (14.2) and Tyson Jackson (10.3) are the Privateers top scorers with Wilson-Rouse leading the team with 4.8 rebounds per game.
