Ragin' Cajuns to play eight of next 10 games on the road

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team wraps up a two-game homestand on Monday when it plays host to in-state opponent Louisiana Christian University at the Cajundome.
 
Tipoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. The game will be streamed live on ESPN+ with fans able to listen to the game in the Lafayette area on KPEL-FM (96.5) and worldwide on the Varsity Network. Live stats will be available at CajunStats.com.
 
Louisiana will be celebrating Cajuns Christmas with a Toys for Tots Drive, photos with Santa Claus and a Christmas Glasses giveaway. Tickets are available at the Cajundome Box Office.
 
Louisiana (8-1) plays its final non-conference game at home before playing eight of its next 10 games on the road. The Ragin' Cajuns opened their homestand with an impressive 75-58 win over Southern Conference member Samford with Terence Lewis II posting a double-double with 19 points and 10 rebounds.
 
The Ragin' Cajuns held Samford to 27 points below its scoring average entering the game while limiting the nation's top Division I team in free throws made (20.7) to a 6-for-8 performance.
 
Jordan Brown paces Louisiana in scoring at 17.7 points per game with Lewis (14.1) and Greg Williams, Jr., (13.7) following. Lewis' 9.8 rebounds per game leads the team with Themus Fulks ranking second in the Sun Belt Conference with 5.3 assists.
 
LCU, formerly Louisiana College, is 5-4 on the year under eighth-year coach Reni Mason. The Wildcats, who are playing the game as an exhibition, are led in scoring by Delor Johnson and Bailey Hardy at 12.9 points per game each.
