Women’s Tennis Heads to UTA, Texas State for Sun Belt Play

LAFAYETTE - Louisiana Women's Tennis will continue Sun Belt Conference play with a match against UTA and Texas State on Saturday, March 13, and Sunday, March 14. Both matches will begin at 10 a.m.

Louisiana is coming off a thrilling 4-3 win over ULM, snapping a 10-game losing streak against its in-state foes.

Lucie Raquin clinched the match against ULM in three sets to push the Ragin' Cajuns past the Warhawks.

UTA enters the match at 7-1 after losing its first match of the season against SMU on Thursday. The team has impressive wins over Wichita State and Sun Belt foe Arkansas State on the year.

The last time Louisiana took down the Mavericks was April 8, 2010, in Arlington, Texas. The Cajuns have lost six-straight matches against UTA.

Following its match with UTA, the Ragin' Cajuns will play Texas State, who enters the match at 4-4.

Louisiana has split the last two matches with Texas State, winning in 2018 but falling in the spring of 2019.
