Louisiana part of 14-team field in three-day, 54-hole event
LAFAYETTE – Coming off a strong finish last week in its spring opener, the Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Golf team heads west to Humble, Texas to compete in the 2020 All-American Intercollegiate that begins on Sunday at the Golf Club of Houston.

The 54-hole event will start at 8 a.m., with the second round slated for Monday and the final round on Tuesday. Live results, courtesy of GolfStat, will be available at RaginCajuns.com.

Louisiana is part of a 14-team field that includes co-hosts Houston and Rice, plus Lamar, Little Rock, Louisiana Tech, Middle Tennessee, Sam Houston State, South Carolina, Texas State, ULM, UT Arlington, UTSA and Wake Forest.

Three teams – Wake Forest (No. 8), South Carolina (No. 30) and Houston (No. 32) – are ranked in the GolfStat Top-50 nationally. SHSU claimed last year's rain-shortened event, defeating both Baylor and Houston by five strokes.

Louisiana opened the spring portion of its schedule with an eighth-place finish at the Mobile Sports Authority Intercollegiate in Mobile, Ala. The Ragin' Cajuns turned in their best 54-hole performance of the season (2-under-862) against a field that included nationally-ranked programs Louisville, Illinois, UAB and Florida State

Senior Jack Tolson, Louisiana's leader in stroke average (74.20), recorded his ninth career top-20 finish after finishing at 3-under 213 with Hudson Dubinski finishing one stroke back at 2-under 214.

The duo will fill the top two slots in Louisiana's five-man contingent with Charlie Flynn, Peter Hinnant and Bjorn Gudjonsson filling out the lineup.

Louisiana, which will start from the No. 10 tee for Monday's opening round, will be paired with Lamar and UTA. Â
