Ragin' Cajuns Head to Crescent City to face Privateers

First of a home-and-home series between the former Sun Belt rivals
LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns Men's Basketball team heads back out on the road on Wednesday when it makes the trip to the Crescent City to face former Sun Belt Conference rival New Orleans at Lakefront Arena.

Louisiana (0-1) officially opened its season last Saturday as it faced No. 1-ranked Baylor in the #VegasBubble at Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena. Cedric Russell and Theo Akwuba combined for 48 points with newcomer Brayan Au scoring 16 points in his Louisiana debut.
New Orleans (0-2) opened its season with road contests at BYU (Nov. 26) and Texas A&M (Nov. 29) while having game at Pac-12 member Utah canceled due to COVID-19 issues within the Utes' program.
The game against New Orleans is the first of a home-and-home series between the schools with the teams scheduled to compete on Dec. 15 at the Cajundome. Louisiana leads the all-time series between the schools, 40-32, and has won the last six meetings.
