Louisiana Opens 2019-20 Golf Season At Lone Star Invitational

Cajuns return all five starters; first of four fall events for Louisiana
SAN ANTONIO – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns golf team officially opens its 2019-20 season on Monday when it tees off at the Lone Star Invitational at TPC San Antonio AT&T Oaks Course.

The first day of the 54-hole tournament will begin with a 36-hole shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. The final 18 holes on the par-72, 7,435-yard course will be played on Tuesday at 8:30. Live results will be available at RaginCajuns.com.

Louisiana, which returns all five starters and eight letterwinners from 2018-19, joins host UTSA in the 11-team field that features five teams in the GolfStat Top-100 and includes Houston, Lipscomb, Little Rock, McNeese, New Mexico State, Rice, South Alabama, ULM and UT Arlington.

Seniors Jack Tolson and Micah Goulas will man the top two spots in Louisiana's five-man lineup with Peter Hinnant, Charlie Flynn and Hudson Dubinski filling the remaining slots. Junior Justin Caldwell will compete as an individual.

The event is the first of four tournaments in the fall for Louisiana, which will also compete at the Graeme McDowell Invitational (Sept. 23-24), the Maridoe Intercollegiate (Oct. 6-8) and the Hoakalei Invitational (Oct. 28-30).
