Men’s Tennis Earns ITA All-Academic Team and Student Honors

LAFAYETTE – The Louisiana Ragin' Cajuns men's tennis program earned the status of being an ITA All-Academic Team, and three members of the program also earned All-Academic Scholar Athlete Honors. To earn ITA All-Academic Team status, the team must have a 3.20 GPA throughout the year. This year's team posted a UL high 3.32 GPA.
"We were very proud of the guys finishing with the top team GPA this Spring among all UL Sports," Jeffery described. "To be able to also be included as a ITA All Academic Team is a great honor nationally."
In addition to the ITA All-Academic Team honor, Silvio Cocito-Monoc, Kacper Dworak and Jan Galka earned All-Academic Scholar Athlete Honors.
The All-Academic Scholar Athlete honor is awarded to the student athlete who was able to maintain a 3.50 GPA for the current academic year. Dworak earned a perfect 4.0 GPA throughout the year.
"I am very happy for Kacper, Silvio, and Jan for achieving ITA All Academic Individual honors," Jeffery said. "They have all worked very hard in the classroom."
