@RaginCajunsWT Falls 4-1 At UT Arlington

ARLINGTON, TEXAS – Louisiana Women's Tennis (6-9, 1-3 SBC) lost its second match of the weekend, falling 4-1, to the UT Arlington Mavericks (10-5, 1-2 SBC) in a Sunday morning Sun Belt Conference matchup at the UTA Tennis Center.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Doubles): Louisiana took the doubles point, thanks to a win by junior Clara Mantaux and sophomore Dana Radovanovic at No. 1 doubles and a win by default. Mantaux and Radovanovic took down Nanaka Takeuchi and Liz Chileno, 6-3, to lock up a 1-0 lead for Louisiana heading into singles play.
HOW IT HAPPENED (Singles): Despite taking a 1-0 lead into singles, Louisiana could not hold the lead, dropping the next four singles matches to drop the match. Sophomore Floriane Picaut dropped her match at No. 1, 7-6, 6-2, to Clara Pons.
At No. 2, freshman Hoda Habib lost to Natal Lucia in straight sets, 7-5, 6-3. UT Arlington's other two points came at No. 4 and No. 5, starting with Mantaux forcing a third set before falling to Chileno, 6-3, 2-6, 6-2.
The Mavericks got one final point at No. 5, with Boza Alumdena beating freshman Ai Noa Fabre in straight sets, 6-4, 6-4. The four wins in singles gave UT Arlington a 4-1 win in the match.
UP NEXT FOR THE CAJUNS: Louisiana returns to Cajun Courts to host the Carolina schools, starting with Appalachian State on Saturday, March 30, followed by Coastal Carolina on Sunday, March 31.
